The table … Read more Iconic genuine signed rattan bamboo dining table made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans. The table features a dramatic hourglass or bundled form of pole rattan with a braided waist topped by a round pane of thick McGuire glass. The sculptural base swells outwards at the foot and top, cinched by a braided band of rattan. Under the glass top, the pedestal reveals a beautiful end-grain honeycomb-like field of bundled and cut rattan canes. The bespoke warm honey-colored glazed finish is enhanced by a dry, washed detail permeating into the grooves in a cerused style, emphasizing the ribbing and giving the piece an intentionally aged, sun-washed patina. The glass top measures 0.75" thick with a polished edge, creating a crisp contrast to the tactile organic base. A versatile piece blending California Coastal, Organic Modern, Tropical, and Palm Beach styles, suitable for a variety of interiors and garden dining. Brass McGuire maker's tag is present on the bottom. The base alone measures 28" high and 23.5" in diameter. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with excellent joinery and construction having a cerused lacquer or glazed finish. Age appropriate wear with very minor chips and light scratches which are difficult to see. Some natural surface variation to rattan as expected. See less
