A substantial vintage miniature depicting a walrus, handmade in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy between the 1960s and 1970s in genuine Italian silver by the silversmith Mario Cerreti.
The figurine captures the distinctive body shape of the animal with its massive torso, flippers and characteristic facial structure. The sculptural modeling gives the piece a strong presence and a naturalistic character typical of mid century Italian animal miniatures.
The craftsmanship is expressive and detailed, reflecting the artistic style associated with Cerreti silver sculptures. The original tusks were removed, most likely due to modern online marketplace policies, and this has been taken into account when determining the retail price.
