A true estate find, this piece is distinguished by its substantial weight of nearly 6 lbs and a heavy cast metal base featuring a traditional Greek key motif and casting mark "6044." The porcelain body is finished in a vibrant cobalt blue glaze with an intricate flowering "Prunus" (cherry blossom) design in white and sage.
The original Underwriters Laboratories (UL) safety label (E-24015) is intact on the socket, dating this piece to the mid-century era. Standing 17 inches tall, it is in pristine vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches. Tested and fully functional.
