Absolutely immense Taiwanese Jade Saddled Tang War Horse Sculpture. Measuring at 31" long, standing 23" high and 8" deep, this *extremely heavy* piece is a stunner. There are a few dings from age and being moved around, and the back of one tail piece either not being carved correctly or broken (can't see from the front) During the ancient Tang Dynasty, horses symbolised ambition, courage and the drive to move forward. They weren't just admired for their beauty – they stood for progress and determination.
Taiwanese Jade is a nephrite Jade, which is completely different from the Gemstone Jade.
