This is a cream and blue chocolate pot by Lewis Straus and Sons of Limoges. The backstamp is dated from 1890 to 1920. The pot is cream on top, pale blue on the bottom wi6th purple flowers and hand painted gold details plus gold painted handles. The pot has no gold wear which is unheard of considering it’s antique status. The lid is also cream and blue as shown.
The pot measures 4.50 inches across and is 7 7/8 inches tall to the rim and 9.50 inches tall to the top of the handle.
The pink flowers and greenery are not hand painted, but someone has added raised gold tendrils with leaves. The raised gold is no longer raised in many cases or is barely rasied.
Both handles are gold painted as is the spout. There is absolutely no wear to this paint which is surprising. There is also a small gold paiterned design at the rim that is shown in picture 5. The top and bottom rim as shaped and painted gold. The backstamp is shown.
