An icon of Italian design, the Taccia lamp was created by brothers Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos in the early 1960s.
This vintage example, standing 60 cm high, represents one of the earlier productions of this celebrated design.
The Taccia is renowned for its sculptural and architectural character.
A solid base supports a ribbed metal column, topped with a large, elegantly shaped glass reflector that diffuses the light upward before gently reflecting it back into the room.
The result is a soft, indirect glow that creates a warm and atmospheric ambiance.
Combining industrial materials with refined proportions, the design perfectly reflects the innovative spirit of Italian modernism.
