Add a little culture to your decorating, by including these Chinese calligraphy characters. These are extra large, vintage brass, wall hangings, meant to add good luck, positive energy and longevity.
Chinese calligraphy conveys meaning, not only through its characters, but with artistic expressions, through form, stroke, order, and composition. These were very popular in the mid-20th century, reflecting a blend of traditional motives, combined with modern design sensibilities—not only that, they are bright and shiny, and add a bit of whimsy, too!
Each symbol weighs a little over 2 pounds, and they have a wonderful depth to them, not flat like so many other calligraphy symbols. Plus, with their preset holes, they are easy to hang!
