Based on the form, material, and devotional character, it appears to be a European Catholic piece dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. While the exact country of origin remains uncertain, it is quite possibly Italian or Central European.

The figure has a beautifully weathered polychrome surface, with softened paint, visible wear, and a patina that gives it a distinctly old-world presence. Though modest in scale, it has strong visual impact and works well as a shelf sculpture, cabinet object, or devotional accent.
