"Poker Face"
A friend who isn’t a country girl, once walked up to a longhorn on the other side of a barbed wire fence and proudly held out a wildflower on a long stem as an offering. With one quick dip and swipe of her horns, the cow neatly snipped off the flower and left just a short piece of stem in her hand. She was untouched, but deeply humbled and suddenly aware of how lucky she was to have the fence between them!

“Poker Face”
A Colorado Longhorn comes to life against a bold blue sky, mounted on unique live-edge barn wood rich with natural worm tracks and character. Wrapped in aged spur barbed wire and accented with a weathered metal Clavo, Willie's painting carries the grit and history of the West. The expansive blue backdrop echoes the open, endless skies of Southern Colorado.
I love working with Willie Britt, who is an amazing local artist of Westcliffe, Co. Together we create beautiful artwork and bring our creative visions together.
Being able to frame Willie's artwork and add my own creative touch has been such an amazing experience. Together, we’re not just creating beautiful pieces—we’re blending our styles and the spirit of our Westcliffe community.
Flying Lead Designs~ in the workshop, I’ve been crafting unique, one-of-a-kind frames that elevate each piece of art. My passion for repurposing and sustainability leads me on adventures and hunting for vintage treasurers, gathering Western belts, belt buckles, conchos, cowhide and barn wood —all of which come together in distinctive, handcrafted frames. These designs merge Western charm, craftsmanship, and eco-conscious creativity.
