Subject and Style: The pieces feature a harmonious and classic baluster structure. The elegant central ceramic body, in a luminous blue hue, forms the backdrop for splendid, finely hand-painted polychrome "gallant scenes" within gold-framed scrolls. The upper band is further embellished with a delicate and meticulous floral garland.

Material and Finish: The solid frame is crafted from machined brass, with an elegant molded circular base that rests securely on four small spherical feet. The ovoid inserts are made of fine glazed ceramic, richly hand-decorated with gold-accented profiles and details.
