Subject and Style: The piece reflects the celebrated "Sorrento" style, characterized by meticulous fretwork with plant motifs and scrolls that lighten the wooden structure. The two side panels feature two exquisite inlaid oval medallions depicting folk figures in traditional dress (a man and a woman), typical of the iconography of the Italian Grand Tour. The structure is equipped with hinges that allow it to be completely folded "like a book" when not in use.

Material and Finish: Crafted from finely perforated and carved solid wood, with a warm walnut patina that enhances the grain. The figurative decorations are created using polychrome inlay. The corner cabinet features two shaped shelves.
