This rare 20th-century wooden tray is not only a refined serving piece, but also a true testament to period affection, ideal for enriching a collection of rare objects.

Subject and Style: The soft oval line is framed by an elegant, finely perforated "railing" border, featuring practical and sturdy integrated side handles. The top is embellished with expert inlay work that outlines delicate floral motifs and a central geometric medallion. The true rarity lies at the bottom: a moving interweaving of handwritten signatures and dedications in ink, suggesting that this piece was an important commemorative or wedding gift.

Material and Finish: The frame is made of solid curved wood, while the top's decorations are achieved by combining wood species of different shades. The tray is polished to enhance the material's warm natural grain and rests securely on four small, discreet spherical metal feet.
