Tea set consisting of a teapot, creamer, sugar bowl, and six cups and saucers, designed by ceramic artist Lina Poggi for the CEAS factory in Albissola. Lina Assalini was hired as an apprentice in 1923 at the Cooperativa Ceramiche Poggi in Albissola Marina, known for its artistic ceramics. In 1927, she married Domenico Poggi, and two years later, she took over the management of the company, the only female manager in the Ligurian ceramics industry. During the 1930s, she developed a personal artistic path that earned her much recognition. In 1946, she and other partners founded the CE.AS. factory. During this period, her works were characterized by the use of "Granulato mat," which, along with its glossy polychrome glaze, would become one of the factory's hallmarks of quality. This technique, invented by her, was accompanied by decorations featuring small polychrome country figures, also of her own design. The delightful tea service offered here can certainly be ascribed to this production, although it has no brand, it is certainly attributable to this talented artist and her manufacturing. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
