This set of three ceramic butterflies features wire antennae and a hook for wall hanging. Hand-painted in bright colors and sculpted with a sculptural touch, the back bears the Minghetti signature, Bologna, with the characteristic asterisk and Omega symbol, confirming their attribution to the Ceramiche Minghetti factory. The factory and workshop was founded by Angelo Minghetti in 1850. Upon the artist's death, it passed into the hands of his sons Gennaro and Arturo. In 1908, Gennaro's son Aurelio renamed the company Ceramiche Artistiche Angelo Minghetti & Figli. The business closed permanently in 1967.
This set dates back to the 1940s and 1950s. This piece has an attribution mark,
