The … Read more A fine English George III kneehole desk crafted in richly figured burl walnut, dating from the late 18th century. The rectangular top is beautifully veneered in burl walnut with crossbanded borders, displaying excellent color and grain. The desk features a long top drawer above six smaller drawers flanking a central kneehole cupboard door, all retaining brass ring pulls and escutcheons. The fall-front writing surface opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeonholes and small drawers over a leather writing surface. Raised on shaped bracket feet with a warm, well-developed patina.
