Julia Contacessi (Con-ta-chess-e) is a contemporary abstract artist known for her large-scale abstracts and fluid compositions. Inspired by the ever-changing beauty of the world, her work blends organic movement with structured design, creating pieces that evoke both emotion
and tranquility.

Julia earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors from Pratt Institute in New York in 2000. Since then, she has remained deeply immersed in the creative world, working across multiple artistic disciplines before launching her own successful fine art business in 2013.

Working from her studio in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Julia creates original works that reflect her love of color, texture, and layered composition—each piece designed to bring a sense of calm, beauty, and modern sophistication to any space. See less
