This is an authentic pochoir, a rare hand-stenciling technique where layers of watercolor and gouache are applied by hand, creating a depth of color and texture that modern prints cannot replicate.

Plate No. 10 showcases two "Créations Lucile Paray." These "very autumnal" ensembles are rendered in a rich garnet wool. The design features a graceful knotted effect at the bodice, puffed cap sleeves over fitted sleeves, and a stitched belt. One figure wears a chic coat with a charming cross-over capelet trimmed in luxurious black astrakhan fur.

Excellent vintage condition. The garnet and earth tones are exceptionally vibrant. The paper shows a soft, authentic age-toning that adds to its 1930s provenance. Presented in a new archival double black and silver foil mat measuring 11" x 14" and ready to frame. See less
