Elegant Vintage 1970s silver-plated coffee and tea service with tray. The set was bought new at Neimans in Houston. One owner.
The service is fashioned after a teapot fabricated by Paul Revere. The original is in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
The oval tray is a 22" long oval. The coffee pot is 9 1/2" tall and the teapot is 7 1/2" tall, both with ebonized wood handles. The silver storage protectors are included and the booklet that came with the set.
I do have a story about this beautiful set. I had seen it at Neimans and loved it. We didn't entertain much but I kept going to see it when in the store. On Christmas morning, after opening gifts, my husband said " what's that on the Christmas tree". Well, he had hung the cream pitcher somewhere within the greenery. He loved to do things like that!
