This oblong mirror, with its elongated oval shape, embodies the refinement of the 1940s and 50s and the transition between Art Deco and Modernism.
It is distinguished by its elongated "pod" shape, its wide peripheral bevels, and its original twisted cord trim with two silver-brown tassels, typical of 1940s passementerie mirrors. The bevels capture the light and create an intense crystalline relief.
The mirror shows signs of age: the silvering is slightly pitted, and some threads are damaged and others are missing from the tassels.
