Tich (Jean-Baptiste) Vanden Balck was a Belgian artist and sculptor who founded a studio in Schaerbeek in 1926 together with his two brothers. He is known for creating terracotta models for the Art Brabançon series, which focuses on sculptural groups. This beautiful Belgian retro head bust with a girl wearing a red polka-dotted headscarf has that sought-after fifties look. This miniature terracotta wall decoration is glazed in various colors and hand-painted for finishing.
