A wonderful vintage ph-80 table lamp by poul henningsen for louis poulsen. This particular piece is an original 1970s production - not a later remake. The model was introduced in 1974 to mark what would have been the designer’s eightieth birthday and continues the principles of the three-shade system he developed in the 1920s. The lamp is composed of layered white shades that diffuse and reflect the light downward, creating a soft and balanced illumination. Beneath the upper shade sits the distinctive red reflector, a subtle detail that warms the light and gives the lamp its recognizable glow when lit. A slender metal stem rises from a circular base, supporting the sculptural shade structure above. The design balances technical precision with visual lightness, a hallmark of henningsen’s work and a defining element of danish modern lighting. The lamp comes in a good vintage condition.
