The design perfectly exemplifies what Dutch design from this period is known for: clear form, functional, and reduced to the essentials. The sofa's body is constructed of pressed beech wood and is fully upholstered. Two solid metal loops form the base, giving the design its recognizable silhouette. The slender construction makes the sofa appear light in the room while simultaneously maintaining the strength and stability of the frame. The seat and back cushions consist of a single, continuous element. The sofa is upholstered in a mottled fabric in warm natural brown tones. This color complements the minimalist design and gives the sofa a tranquil appearance. The sofa comfortably seats three people and, thanks to its low, relaxed seat, makes it ideal as a lounge sofa in a living room, studio, or office environment.
