The large painted chest / trunk, painted red with floral motifs and a beautiful, floral-patterned border on a dark background. The back of the chest has a simpler yellow dotted pattern.

The style of the flowers appears to be Mughal, from India.

The lid has three small hinges and two chains. The interior is a simple stained wood.

The chest can be used for storage &/or as a coffee table

The paint is chipped and missing in a few areas of the trunk.
