Air House Construction Development
A construction worker is silhouetted as the 50,000 cubic foot nylon 'air house' is illuminated, enabling construction work to continue into the night, in Hampton, London, England, 3rd November 1960. The building work is being done by Hampton House Developments Ltd, and the air house, a nylon 'igloo', is kept inflated by means of low-pressure air supplied by fans, which simultaneously protects the site from the weather and allows for no light to be lost.
