The subject on the right panel depicts Drama, the founder of Zen Buddhism. He is characterized by his intense, wide-eyed expression and minimalist, flowing robes. The left hand panel features Lotus blossoms in various stages of bloom with large dark ink wash leaves at the base. Each piece include a signature and a red cinnabar seal at the bottom, which serves as an artist's formal "stamp" of authenticity. They are mounted on a gold-flecked or texture paper boarder within black rectangular frames. See less
