The top surface of the table has narrow twig pieces (almost looks like bamboo) tightly bound to form a flat surface. This is supported on a wooden sheet that sits on top of the raw wood tree trunk / branch base. The wood species may be Hickory on the base.

This table is a funky rustic piece that would be great for a cabin or country home, but could also fit alongside more simple modern pieces.
