Hand-painted in the 1970s/80s using traditional egg tempera on compressed papier-mâché, this piece features the intricate "carpet painting" style unique to the Mstyora school. The lid showcases swirling pastel blues and ochres, signed by artist "И.Г." The interior is finished in a striking cinnabar-red. A museum-quality example of Soviet-era folk art.
