This red Model 3475 Eames Time Life Executive Lobby Chair designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller was produced in the 2010s. This classic mid century modern desk chair features Maharam Prone leather upholstery in Mantra, a stunning deep, rich shade of red. The comfortable, contoured ergonomic design features thick, plush cushions, 360 degree swivel seat, adjustable height and backrest tilt and five-star polished aluminum base with foot glides. Please note that chair glides can also be removed to accommodate Herman Miller rolling casters. An iconic and collectible desk chair; perfect for home or office. Eames Office Herman Miller logo plaque to underside.
An adaptation of the commissioned "Lobby Chairs" for the Time Life building in New York, the 1960 release of the Time Life Lounge Chair brought the chair to the broader public of homes, offices, conference rooms and lobbies all over the US and internationally. Model 3475 introduced later in the 1960s has the width and laid back comfort and swivel of the 675 model with added height and tilt adjustability.
