The freely adjustable counterweight construction makes it possible to use these lamps as both table lamps and wall lamps. Crafted from brass with a rectangular base and a brass lampholder. Pleated textile lampshades are included. Founded in 1943 in Copenhagen, Le Klint grew out of a long-standing Danish craft tradition of hand-folded paper lampshades. The company’s origins trace back to architect P.V. Jensen-Klint, who began folding pleated shades by hand in the early 20th century. His designs were later developed and brought into production by Tage Klint, establishing Le Klint as a formal manufacturer.Throughout the mid-20th century, Le Klint became closely associated with Danish Modern design, collaborating with leading architects and designers while maintaining its commitment to craftsmanship. To this day, the brand remains renowned for its hand-folded shades and its distinctive balance of functionalism and sculptural elegance.
