the lamp features four concentric shades crafted from thick solid copper. The inner rings and lower edge of the shade are finished in hammerborg’s distinctive orange lacquer that gradually fades into off-white. When illuminated, the lacquer reflects light onto the polished copper surfaces, producing a warm atmospheric glow typical of scandinavian lighting design.

this model was among the first designs created by jo hammerborg after joining fog & mørup as head of design in 1957 and is now considered one of the classic danish modern pendant lamps of the 1960s.
