Pair of Small Italian Neoclassical Chevron Chests of Drawers
A pair of elegant Italian chests of drawers in the Neoclassical style. A typical 19th-century Italian design. Made of walnut with lemonwood marquetry. Created in the early 20th century.
The rounded edges in lemonwood give them a more modern and lighter finish, far removed from the harsh lines of antique furniture. The artisanal marquetry technique creates beautiful patterns with the grain of these two fine woods. In this case, the chevron or herringbone pattern stands out, adding dynamism to the wood.
