Four vintage Chinese hanging scroll prints after Liu Kuiling, circa 1979. Titled the Four Beasts paintings collection and includes: Rabbits in a Bamboo garden; Squirrels in a gnarled pine; Cats indulged with a Dragonfly; and Monkeys in an oak tree.
Liu Kuiling (1885–1967) was a Chinese painter known for his detailed depictions of animals, flowers, and plants. The artist's detailed works were executed in the mogu style, featuring forms made through diluted ink washes rather than outlines.
