A stunning 1960's art pottery necklace by Brondsted of Denmark which combines the vibrancy of artisan design and modernist costume jewelry. Amazingly, each link of this exotic collar necklace is a piece of pottery bearing a fiery glaze in a vibrant sunflower yellow. The necklace is strung on a filament cord with each pottery link separated by a seed bead. The screw on closure is a bronzed metal that securely keeps the necklace in place. Pressed hallmark to the back of each pottery link. Beautiful as an accent to a monochromatic ensemble or mix it up with stripes for something different.
Good vintage condition with a couple of small chips. There are two links with chips as shown from the front in photograph 10 and the back in photograph 11. The flaws are difficult to notice when wearing.
The necklace measures 18" from end to end when flat providing for an approximate 7" drop. Each pottery segment measures 1.38" tall x .5" wide x .25" deep. For visual reference, the dress form in photographs 12 and 13 is a U.S. size 6.
