A passionate music lover, Claude Gaveau nevertheless devoted the last fifty years of his life to painting. Through his imagination and talent, he creates canvases rich in color, in which a harmony tinged with the unreal shines through. He has always lived in France, but it was in the United States that his talent brought him recognition. This country allowed him to approach painting differently and to develop his "colorful audacity." It was also there that he experienced the attacks of September 11th firsthand.
