A beautiful and unique desk lamp from the Art Deco period of 1930 in France.
An ashtray under the lamp
was commonplace at a time when this was still commonplace. Working at your desk with a cigarette butt in the ashtray.
This is especially evident in the Jacques Brel era, as seen in the poster at the last foto.
In an interview, smoking and drinking were considered part of the daily routine on radio and TV.
This lamp has now become more of a collector's item.
The arm of the lamp is height-adjustable. The shade itself does not rotate.
The lamp is chrome-plated, the ashtray is somewhat heavier.
The socket is the original bayonet socket.
A suitable bulb can be ordered online.
The cord is new, the plug is old.
