The Pratt Institute graduate is a multifaceted artist, story illustrator, fashion illustrator and jewelry designer. For his paintings, Micarelli works mainly in oils and pastels with his favorite subject matter being people in their everyday lives. Clemente Micarelli is an American listed artist and illustrator b.1929-2008. Clemente, known to friends and family as Mic, was a respected artist who remained in demand for his masterful work throughout his career. He taught privately and as a faculty member of the Rhode Island School of Design. His connection with RISD began in 1941 when, at the age of 12, he attended his first figure drawing course. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he went on to study at Pratt Institute in New York City where he built a successful career as a fashion illustrator, while continuing to paint fine art. After moving to Massachusetts in 1971 with his family, he eventually settled in Marshfield becoming a valued member of the South Shore art community. See less
