Walker Buckner is a contemporary painter recognized for his academic realism, specializing in landscapes, coastal scenes and figures. After a career in television, he studied under Joseph Hirsch at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Design, later developing a style focused on light, color fields and precise composition. Buckner holds a BA from Yale, JD from Columbia Law School and MBA from Columbia Business School. Over the past half century Buckner's work has been featured in several one person exhibitions by New York Galleries Lori Bookstein Fine Art and Maxwell Davidson Gallery. See less
