Western competition and cattle work often requires a lot of ‘hurry up and wait’. Horses and riders need to learn to do both equally well to succeed.
Willie Britt~ is an award-winning sculptor known for her masterful bronze and prototype sculptures. She also works in oils, acrylics and pastels, infusing her work with precision, creativity, and a deep love for animals.
I love working with Willie Britt, who is amazing local artist of Westcliffe, Co. Together we create beautiful, artwork and bring our creative visions together. Being able to frame Willie's art work and add my own creative touch has been such an amazing experience. Together, we’re not just creating beautiful pieces—we’re blending our styles and the spirit of our Westcliffe community
Ready and Waiting is framed with a vintage lariat rope that naturally draws the eye to the artwork. The outer frame is repurposed from a vintage metal heat register with a distinctive waffle pattern, adding texture and history to the piece. Reclaimed and reimagined, this unique frame makes the artwork a truly one-of-a-kind creation.
Flying Lead Designs~ in the workshop, I’ve been crafting unique, one-of-a-kind frames that elevate each piece of art. My passion for repurposing and sustainability leads me on adventures and hunting for vintage treasurers, gathering Western belts, belt buckles, conchos, cowhide and barn wood —all of which come together in distinctive, handcrafted frames. These designs merge Western charm, craftsmanship, and eco-conscious creativity.
