This quiet interior titled "The Blue Door" rendered in a naive style with expressive, confident brushwork delivers a moody textural composition. You will love everything about this painting-color, subject manner, paint handling and the simple primitive original but effective framing. All very striking in person. The painting measures a little over 19 inches wide by 39 inches high framed to a size of 20 and 3/4 inches wide by 40 and 1/8 inches high. The painting is in very good vintage condition and the frame is in good vintage condition. The linen canvas is tight and intact with the original primitive frame showing age related wear that adds to the charm of the painting. There is also a dollop of black paint on the canvas left behind by the artist's strong brushwork on the upper left corner please see photo #8 and please refer to the photos for adequate descriptions.
