The … Read more Impressive figural sculpture in white biscuit porcelain, depicting Venus with Cupid (Love) in an elegant, classically composed allegorical scene. The piece is finely modeled, with richly flowing drapery, delicate facial features, and a decorative pedestal adorned with garlands, characteristic of the French academic taste of the 19th century.

The base is clearly inscribed “CARRIER-BELLEUSE”, and the underside shows an impressed mark and additional stamped/pressed markings, confirming the marked model attribution.
