The ovoid shape and sculptural character reflect the prominence that artistic ceramics acquired in domestic lighting during the late mid-century, where material, texture, and color combine to create pieces with a strong decorative presence.

It retains its original metal frame and has been fitted with a new, custom-made cylindrical linen shade, which balances the overall design and provides a warm and sophisticated light.

In very good overall condition, with slight signs of use consistent with its age. The ceramic is very well preserved, with a light patina on the metal elements. The electrical wiring has been checked and is in perfect working order.
