A rare and impressive pair of large wall lamps (sconces), produced by the prestigious Mazzega glassworks in Murano in the 1970s. This lot stands out for its generous size and the extraordinary quality of the glass, typical of the most luxurious commissions of the era.
Artistic Details:
Sculptural Glass: Each sconce is composed of hand-blown Murano glass elements in a warm and intense amber color. The workmanship features a textured, organic surface (often referred to as "ice" or "pulegoso"), which fragments the light, creating dramatic effects on the walls.
Large Size: Unlike standard models, these sconces boast generous dimensions, making them suitable for large living rooms, stately entrances, or sophisticated interior design projects.
Frame: The supporting structure is made of original metal, designed to safely support the weight of the artistic glass and allow for optimal light diffusion.
Condition:
The sconces are in excellent vintage condition.
