Each sconce is centered by an elongated fluted shaft adorned with laurel garlands, and surmounted by a classical fire-urn finial — a recurring motif in the neoclassical vocabulary of the late 18th century. The scrolling arms are decorated with acanthus leaves and support fluted bobeches with their original candle sleeves.

This refined model belongs to the tradition of Parisian bronziers of the late 19th century and relates closely to designs attributed to Jean-Louis Prieur (1732–1795), whose work shaped the decorative language of the French Louis XVI period. Comparable examples can be found in the collections of the Louvre Museum, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Lyon), the Württembergisches Landesmuseum (Stuttgart), and the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
