This Chair & Ottoman were inherited from my father. We fondly referred to it as the "Commander's Chair" as we thought it had a bit of a "Star Trek" vibe. My father took so much joy in the beautiful San Fransisco condominium that he designed with his internal decorator. The condominium was featured in Architectural Digest 1999. I am not sure of the chair's designer, as I have been unable to find a label. However, my father spared no expense when it came to furnishing his place. This chair was his favorite place to perch reading & looking out onto the bay.
The chair swivels 360 degrees, with a solid no-slip base. The ottoman has 4 swivel wheels, easily moves in all directions, for when you need to reposition it to get up from the chair. The chair and ottoman are made of a soft, ribbed fabric, natural green-gray color. Sleek lines, geometric shapes that vary depending on the angle.
The most amazing aspect of this chair, is how comfortable it is, despite it's clean elegance.

It does look darker in the Architectural Digest Photo, but the lighting is dark. Any color change is uniform, most likely lightening. No asymmetric or focal discoloration. There are no visible tears or snags in the fabric. The chair has been sat in regularly, but it appears to have held up well over time, likely due to the original high quality craftsmanship. The top of the cushion is somewhat loose, does not hang perfectly at seam. less
