This sideboard, buffet or cradenza was refurbiished by a very talented artist several years before I purchased it and I … Read more This sideboard, buffet or cradenza was refurbiished by a very talented artist several years before I purchased it and I have used it in my own home for the past several years. The Northern Furniture Company from which it was made was founded in 1881 and renamed from Mattoon Manufacturing Company in 1916. The Northern Company stayed as Northern until 1949 and went through the times of Mission-style early on to Art Deco and later Mid-Century Modern. This lovely piece I have is part of the collection of the later Mid-Century Modern and is quite beautiful in it's workmanship, style and architectural lines. I have been very proud to have owned such a beautiful piece of history, but alas it's time to renovate my parlor and allow somene else the beauty of this classsic timepiece. I collected this buffet from a close neighbor and friend. This piece was built in the 1930's; stands at 37" tall, 66" wide and is 22" deep. I truly hope whomever purchases this lovely piece enjoys it as much as I did in my parlor. See less
