David Lindsey “Signature Series” Large Studio Art Glass Vessel Sculpture, 1998
This monumental hand blown studio art glass vessel sculpture was created by American glass artist David Lindsey in 1998 as part of his Signature Series. The piece showcases Lindsey’s distinctive approach to sculptural glass, blending fluid organic form with layered translucent color.
The vessel features sweeping ribbons of aqua, cobalt blue, lavender, and opalescent glass that appear to move through the form like flowing water. The swirling interior pattern visible at the base reveals the rotational techniques used during the blowing process.
Mounted on a custom iron display stand, the work reads as both sculpture and vessel, a hallmark of the American Studio Glass movement that emerged in the late twentieth century.
David Lindsey is known for producing large gallery-scale glass vessels that blur the boundary between decorative object and sculptural artwork. His works are collected for their dynamic movement, luminous color, and architectural scale.
The sculpture is signed by the artist and dated 1998.
