Stefano Scalora), as noted on both the brass nameplate and the artist’s signature on the canvas. The full-length composition portrays an elegant woman in a rich burgundy off-the-shoulder gown with white opera gloves, a black choker, and floral brooch, holding a feather fan beside a carved table with a floral arrangement. The background features drapery and a romantic landscape scene with horses and distant architecture. Signed in red lower right “S. Scalora – Roma 1947.” The original brass plaque reads: “DORRIS – Prof. Arch.
