Measuring 13 inches long, it features a classic domed-lid design and double wire bail handles meticulously wrapped in natural fiber cord. The warm, honey-toned bamboo slats are secured with aged iron-tone nails and display original growth nodes and naturally distressed edges showcasing the authentic, hand-split nature of the material. Slatted construction allows for natural ventilation, ideal for storing textiles or produce. The presence of these raised ridges across the slats provides a tactile, authentic feel that is characteristic of traditional Asian or tropical utility trunks.
The interior features a dark, high-gloss finish (likely a protective lacquer or shellac) that has aged beautifully alongside the exterior.
The exterior shows excellent vintage character with a rich, oxidized honey-brown finish.
