A Monumental Bridge Between Art Deco and Modernism.
This architectural 1930s sideboard is a stunning example of the "Rustic Modern" style, bridging the gap between Art Deco craftsmanship and Mid-Century Minimalism. Crafted in the manner of Charles Dudouyt, the facade features deep, high-relief "diamond point" (pyramid) carvings that create a dynamic play of light and shadow. The oak wood features a warm, golden-sienna tone that glows in natural light.
At 77 inches wide (196 cm), this piece offers monumental storage capacity without feeling heavy. It features two large side cabinets and three central drawers with original round wood pulls—perfect for concealing dining linens, media components, or a substantial vinyl record collection.
Good Condition. The piece is structurally sound and sturdy. The wood shows a beautiful, age-appropriate patina with minor signs of wear consistent with its 90-year history, adding to its character.
