This exquisite 12-inch accent lamp base is a prime example of the work of acclaimed French artist Jean-Noël Bouillet. Utilizing the rare and complex Amalgam Lacquers technique, the glass is hand-painted from the interior (verre églomisé), resulting in a vibrant, jewel-toned finish that is protected within the glass itself.
Design: The petite baluster-form body features a rich, organic "lava" pattern with a palette of fiery oranges, deep reds, and earthy greens.
Artistry: Bouillet is one of the few contemporary masters of this reverse-painting style, often compared to the prestige of Daum or Baccarat.
Condition: In perfect condition with no chips, cracks, or pigment loss to the lacquer.
Dimensions: 12" Height x 8" Width.
Note: This listing is for the lamp base only; the original glass mushroom shade is not included. It would pair beautifully with a simple 10"–12" cream silk shade to highlight the intricate glass work.
